“You’re going to pay for this, Potter.”

James laughed, smiling at her. “Oi Evans, you don’t know that I did anything.” Lily was glaring at him fiercely, but he caught the hint of concern in the way she was standing, as if she was scared to step forward. He leaned towards her, that smirk that she hated plastered on his face. “Yet.”

“If you did anything in my dorm room, I swear to Merlin,” she said, pointing her finger at him. “You may be Head Boy, but I’ll still get McGonagall to expel you.” 

“I just said that something might have happened,” James shrugged. He watched as her eyes narrowed and his smile only widened. She might be furious with him, but there was something about getting Lily Evans riled up that he enjoyed way too much to stop. She got this cute little flush on her neck when she was flustered and her eyes shined and he simply couldn’t get it out of his head. 

And if meant slipping a toad into her bedroom when she wasn’t looking, than James definitely thought it was worth it.

Thank you, really, I needed to cry today…

“Potter!”
“What is it now, Evans?”
James asked the red head next to him as he lazily took his black lather jacket off. “Could you please stop taking your cloths off? We have a job to do!” Lily hissed angrily.
“Don’t you like what you see Lily-kins?”
“Oh you stop it. You’re just a slimy, arrogant, cocky wanker. Why can’t you never take anything serious?”
“I happen to take my duty’s very serious, Lily-Flower, I just try to have fun in between and with a beautiful lady beside me, what could be more fun?”
“Just sod off Potter and let´s finish our rounds in absolute silence.”

Now that was one arse he’d recognise anywhere.

“Evans?” he asked, amused. “What are you doing under the bed?”

At this, Lily Evans gave a start. A loud thump and her sudden collapse told him that she had just hit her head very hard.

“Fuck!” she cried.

It took everything he had to keep a straight face. “You alright under there, love? Not bleeding or anything?”

She ignored him.

“So you’re just going to stay under there are you? Fine by me, I’ve got a rather nice view of you rear from where I’m standing.”

Letting out a very high pitched noise, she let her body collapse once more and moved her hands down towards the hem of her skirt. With very little success, she stretched the thin, grey material down over her bum in a vain attempt to make sure that James couldn’t see anything.

“You know that you’re just making the skirt tighter,” he said. “If anything I can see more now.”

At this comment she let out a groan not unlike one from a rhino.

“Are you sure you’re alright under there? I don’t think this is normal behaviour for a head girl”

He sounded genuinely concerned that she might have gotten concussion or something. It didn’t help that she was just lying there like a plank; her head still hidden underneath Peter’s bed.

“Not coming out?” he said after a few minutes of silence.

Finally, her muffled voice called back, “No, I’m just going to die under here from embarrassment and the overwhelming scent of Peter’s dirty socks.”
